Dunham Music Building

Before Dunham Building was built, the Music Department was, at various times, housed in West Hall and the basement of Taylor Hall; the auditorium was in the old Spencer Hall (no longer located on campus).  Music instruction was also given in the former home of President and Mrs. Coltrane, a multi-story white frame building converted into music studios.  But in 1965, the Campus Center Building was renovated and renamed the Dunham Music Center.  The renovations included studios, offices and other teaching facilities.

Dunham Music Building houses:

  • All wind and percussion majors
  • Studios
  • Music Listening rooms
  • Reference Library
  • 450 seat Auditorium/Music Hall
