Brevard College seeks candidates for the position of Administrative Assistant in the Office of Financial Aid. Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing assistance to the Director of Financial Aid in updating and maintaining Financial Aid student records, database and mailing flow. The position also includes general office duties such as phone coverage, walk-in requests/questions, and general mail. Selected candidate will be a member of the Enrollment Planning Team and will be expected to support the overall recruitment and retention goals of the College.
Candidates should be proficient in handling a database and computer applications. Strong candidates will possess excellent oral and communication skills to work well in an office environment as well as an understanding of basic concepts in accounting and financing. In addition, excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle details precisely and accurately are required. The successful candidate must be willing to learn financial aid processes and terminology.
Requirements include graduation from high school and at least three years of experience in an office setting. An Associate Degree and one year of experience/training is preferred.
