VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, DESIGN/TECHNICAL THEATRE - BREVARD COLLEGE invites candidates with strong commitment to imaginative and interactive undergraduate teaching/mentoring to apply. One-year appointment beginning August 2008 with possible later conversion to a tenure-track position. Qualifications: MFA; 2-5 years of experience. Additional skills might include sound design, stage management, digital preparation/ execution technologies and contemporary theatre practice, some directing experience. Responsibilities: Teach courses in technical theatre/ stage design, Introduction to Theatre; oversee design/ technical direction for three annual College theatre productions (primary venue a state-of-the-art black box theatre with flexible seating capacity of 150); supervise senior projects.
