Exercise Science
As an Exercise Science major at Brevard College, you will study human movement – exercise and sports – from a scientific perspective. You will have a well-rounded understanding and appreciation of the vital role that physical activity plays in our society. Our major encompasses a large number of potential career pathways, all of which revolve around the study of human movement in the form of exercise and sports.
The program at Brevard College is unique in that students can choose between three emphases, allowing the student to take specific coursework to meet their individual goals and objectives: Allied Medical Fields, Fitness Leadership and Teacher Licensure in Physical Education. The Exercise Science Program provides students with a strong academic foundation, and goes an additional step by allowing students to obtain valuable practical field experience, helping graduates to secure jobs upon completion of the program. A variety of outdoor activity courses are offered and students gain a foundation in outdoor education through some of the initial coursework that is available. |
