Mathematics

The Mathematics major at Brevard College prepares graduates for a wide variety of options including: A Master’s degree program in mathematics, graduate study at a wide choice of professional schools and various career opportunities such as actuarial science, biomathematics, financial mathematics, statistics, computer science and teaching. The program is designed to develop creativity in problem solving, the ability to think analytically and the ability to communicate mathematical knowledge and results, as well as the mastery of undergraduate mathematics. Mathematics major graduates of Brevard College receive a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from a liberal arts college, which contributes to their ability to succeed in many different settings.
