ART The Art Department is dedicated to comprehensive study of the visual arts within an interdisciplinary, liberal arts context. The B. A. degree in Art provides experiential education in the production, theory and history of art and supports dedicated, life-long engagement in the visual arts. The Department fosters open inquiry, experimentation, pursuit of excellence and personal growth in an engaged learning environment. A grade of C - or higher must be earned in all courses in the major in order to progress in sequential courses.
