Move-a-Mountain Day 2007

Move-a-Mountain Day!

Again this year, all new students to the college will be participating in a BC tradition: Move-a-Mountain Day. Move a Mountain is a half-day service-focused experience that takes new BC students, staffers and volunteers and sends them out into the community to work on a project that directly or indirectly serves their new community. It’s long been a part of Brevard College’s tradition of experiential learning. The college’s motto — Cognosce ut Prosis — which means “Learn in order to Serve” is demonstrated as students inaugurate their first year at the college by giving back first! The hard work helps create in students an ethic of service and community and allows them to begin building relationships in the community and with fellow students.
