Dear Student,
Welcome to Brevard College! You have made it through the application process, have been accepted, and we are delighted to welcome you into the Brevard College family! This is your official invitation to participate in the 2008 Summer Opportunity Program which is required for all new students: freshmen and transfers.
There are two distinct parts to Summer Opportunity: Part 1 occurs in Summer and Part 2 in August. All new students must attend in Summer and in August. During your Summer Opportunity Advising and Registration you will become better acquainted with other new students (you may even meet your future roommate!) when participating in Campus Life activities. You will have the opportunity for an Academic Consultation with a Faculty Member and will begin to discuss and select your class schedule. We offer two options for Summer attendance. The two identical sessions have been scheduled for June 21 and July 26.
There is also a very specific program planned for your family members which runs at the same time as your Summer Opportunity and Registration program. Sessions for family members include information on expectations of the institution, preparation for moving in, and safety/security and campus life issues.
The combined fee for Summer and Fall (August) Opportunity is $95. Parents, guardians or siblings who attend will pay a fee of $25 (this includes any and all family members). Linked to the right you will find a Registration Form (PDF). Please select the Summer Opportunity date that best fits your schedule. Complete the form and return it, along with the fee, in the enclosed envelope. All students attending Summer Opportunity must have paid their $200 Enrollment Deposit.
Sincerely,
Ken Sigler
Director of Admission
