Admitted Students

You are just beginning an amazing journey and we are honored you have chosen Brevard.

Now that you have the admission issue settled, you will want to start working on the steps leading up to your first day of classes. You will still receive lots of contact from your Admission Counselor who will assist you in each step. We are sure you might have some questions about what happens next, so here is your checklist. Remember: we’re just an email away! (click on titles to learn more)

My Checklist
___ Priority or Regular Enrollment Deposit Paid (Mail to the Admission Office)
Our $125 Priority Enrollment fee (due March 30) or $250 Regular Enrollment fee (due May 1) confirms your spot in the incoming class; triggers all other enrollment-related documents such as housing, class registration, etc., be mailed to you in our "BC Action Pack"; and enables us to apply all of your financial aid to the cost of attendance. (Enrollment fees are refundable until December 1 for students enrolling for spring, and May 1 for students enrolling for fall.)

___ Student Housing
If you will be living on campus (and most of our students do!), you will want to complete and return the Housing Contract you recieve in your action pack to secure your spot.  You will find more information about housing including how roommates are placed together on the housing information page.  If you will not be living on campus, you will need to appeal to live of campus (more information is available on housing at the link above.

___ Accept or decline your Financial Aid award
You must go to WebTwister to accept your award.  Accepting your award notifies the college to reserve your funds.

___ Submit Immunizations

___ Enroll in or Waive Student Health Insurance

___ Sign up and attend one of our 3 Summer Pre-Registration Days
(Required for new freshmen entering for the fall semester only. Transfer students entering for either the fall or spring, as well as freshmen entering for spring, should contact the admissions office to set up an individual appointment to be advised and registered for courses)

Summer Pre-Registration is an opportunity to become better acquainted with other new students, current BC students, as well as faculty and staff. An academic consultation with a faculty member will take place to discuss and select your class schedule. Class schedules will only be given to those students who have paid their $250 Enrollment Deposit. Visit your personal Webtwister site to confirm your status.

There are also specific programs planned for you and your family members. These sessions include information on expectations of the institution, preparation for moving in, safety/security issues, and campus life.

___ Move in and attend Welcome Week
As a new student at Brevard College you will be expected to attend Welcome Week 2012.  During this time you'll get connected on campus, find out about campus resources, become more acquainted with the culture and traditions of Brevard College, and make friends.

___ Spring classes begin January 11; Fall classes begin August 29!
