HS - Sophomore

  • Meet with your School Counselor to talk about your course load. Make sure you are on target to meet your high school requirements and college entrance requirements. (This is especially important if you are considering playing collegiate athletics.)
  • Talk with your school counselor (or someone here at Brevard College) about AP or Honor’s courses.
  • Take the PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test), which will help you prepare for the SAT. (The PSAT also establishes your eligibility for the National Merit Scholarship Program!)
  • Participate in academic enrichment programs.
  • Be sure to plan summer activities that will build your confidence and portfolio. Consider employment, volunteer service, camp-leadership, etc.
