Will is from Columbia, South Carolina and graduated from Brevard College in 2007 with a Bachelors of Arts in Exercise Science. Will first discovered Brevard, North Carolina when it made Outside Magazine’s list of “Best Towns to Live and Play”. He was immediately drawn to the possibility of attending college where he could pursue a degree in Exercise Science and his passion for the outdoors. Brevard College’s proximity to an eclectic city such as Asheville, North Carolina also attracted Will to pursue his studies. Will felt welcomed by the small open community of Brevard College and he enjoys sharing that experience with prospective students and their families. Aside from his job as an Admissions Counselor, he enjoys cycling, backpacking and playing guitar and banjo.

David is from Brevard, NC and graduated from Brevard College in 2008. While at BC he earned a Bachelors of Arts in Business and Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Management and Entrepreneurship. Prior to attending Brevard College David spent some time traveling various regions of the United States. After visiting numerous places he decided that Brevard offered everything he needed, from beautiful scenic views to the community feeling you get from living in a small town. Brevard College modeled itself on the small town feel, giving David the personal attention he needed to flourish and have a successful college career. David is more than happy to share these experiences with prospective students and families. In his free time David enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as attending sporting events and traveling.

Shane Apps grew up in Alpharetta, Georgia and graduated from Brevard College in 2011 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science. He first heard about Brevard through his cousin and was drawn by the area’s natural beauty, small class sizes, welcoming atmosphere and the chance to play college tennis. The college’s marketing slogan, “step in. stand out,” really applied to Shane, as he was involved in a variety of activities and organizations on campus, such as varsity tennis, presidential advisor, student ambassador and more. With all the varied possibilities offered through the college and surrounding area, Shane found it easy to get involved while still enjoying outdoor adventures in the Pisgah National Forest. The relationships formed throughout his college years with faculty, staff and students had a profound impact on Shane, an impact that inspired him to share his love for Brevard with other prospective families and students. Besides his job as an admissions counselor, Shane enjoys hiking, waterfall jumping, tennis, volleyball, traveling, and hanging out with wonderful people.

Marcus Webb was raised in Tifton, GA and graduated from Brevard College in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies. Marcus first discovered Brevard College while searching for a small liberal arts school tucked away in the Blue Ridge Mountains. As both an avid rock and ice climber and enthusiast for the hands on education available in a small school, Brevard College and the granite domes of surrounding Pisgah National Forest offered the perfect setting for his education. The intimacy of the institution and the unique experience of living in Western North Carolina have presented wonderful opportunities for Marcus both as a student and staff member. He thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated his time as a student at Brevard College, and now hopes that he can help prospective students also come to discover what Brevard has to offer.

Jessica grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but a visit to the mountains of western North Carolina during her senior year in high school proved providential. As soon as the opportunity presented itself, Jessica moved to Brevard and took advantage of the beautiful surroundings and weather that the Blue Ridge Mountains have to offer. An avid hiker, she especially loves to follow trails that lead to waterfalls. Aside from outdoor adventures, Jessica loves that Brevard College boasts a rich culture of the arts and loves to support its artisans, actors, and musicians. She believes that once you discover Brevard, you won’t want to leave.
