FINANCIAL AID and NET COST ESTIMATOR
Welcome to the BC Aid & Net Cost Estimator page! The link provided below may be used to assist first-time freshman in estimating their financial aid package, and as a result, their net cost of attendance at Brevard College.
Please note that our estimator is designed to project potential financial aid amounts allocated through multiple sources such as the College, state, and federal government. This aid and net cost estimate is calculated based on the data supplied by the user; therefore, it is intended for use as an unofficial guide for families as they refine their college decisions and planning processes.
Brevard College evaluates and notifies students of official scholarship and financial aid awards in two ways:
1) Academic and Leadership merit-based scholarships are determined at the point of admission. The Office of Admissions notifies students of the type and amount of such merit scholarships as a part of the student’s acceptance letter. Students meeting BC’s “early action application deadline” of February 1st are automatically awarded merit scholarships if they qualify. Those who apply after the deadline are considered for admission and merit scholarships only as space and aid budgets allow. For this reason, we recommend submitting the online application, transcripts and ACT or SAT scores as soon as possible. Acceptance and merit scholarship decisions are made within 10 days of receipt of the application, transcripts, and test scores.
2) Official financial aid packages which include state and/or federal grants and loans are processed only after results of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are received by Brevard College. Families may begin filing the FAFSA on January 1st of each year at www.fafsa.gov . Students who qualify for state and/or federal aid AND BC scholarships will see all of these aid sources and amounts outlined in the official financial aid package mailed to them.
