My Checklist
 

In our effort to support you in the financing of your college education, be sure to follow these suggestions in completing your financial aid process here at Brevard College.

Fall Senior Year

  • Complete an On-Line Estimator to receive an estimated award letter to help you in your early financial decision making.
  • You and a parent will need to apply for and secure a federal PIN numbers at www.pin.ed.gov . This is your Personal Identification Number that will allow you to sign your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) electronically and to access your processed FAFSA online.
  • Review the available scholarships for academic, leadership, and major-specific areas. You may also contact the Financial Aid Office at 828-884-8245 or email us at finaid@brevard.edu .

Spring Senior Year

  • You and your parent(s) should complete your US Income Tax Returns as soon as possible in the new year. This information will be essential when completing the FAFSA.
  • File your FAFSA as early as possible, using completed tax return information. Our priority deadline is April 15th; however; institutional money is awarded on a first-come first-served basis, so do not wait too long to file.
  • Provide additional tax forms or documents as requested from the Financial Aid Office

Review and accept or decline your Award Letter and return a signed copy to the Financial Aid Office to secure your financial aid package.
