Brevard College Merit Scholarship
Students admitted to Brevard College can qualify for a range of academic scholarships. These scholarships are determined based on high school/college GPA and/or standardized test scores. To apply for Brevard College Merit Scholarships, submit your application for admission.
The Leadership Scholarship
Leadership Scholarships are awarded to incoming students who demonstrate outstanding dedication to outside organizations and strong leadership potential. If eligible, students apply and interview for these scholarships on Leadership Scholarship Day on the Brevard College campus.
Fine Arts Scholarships
Brevard College offers a limited amount of Fine Arts scholarships in Music, Art, and Theater. Scholarships are determined by individual department. Please contact your department for more specific scholarship requirements and information.

All individual sports determine and award athletic-based scholarships according to athletic talent and the needs of the individual sport and athlete. Contact the Office of Athletics or the coach of each respective sport for more information about scholarship opportunities.
Golden LEAF Foundation Scholarships
The Golden LEAF Foundation awards scholarships to North Carolina students from tobacco-dependent, economically distressed, and rural communities. Click on the link below for the most up-to-date list of qualifying counties and eligibility requirements.
United Methodist Higher Education Foundation Scholarships
The United Methodist Higher Education Foundation (UMHEF) is a non-profit group that awards scholarships to qualified students attending United Methodist-affiliated institutions. This foundation awards over $2 million to over 1,000 students annually. Scholarship amounts vary.
State and Federal Aid
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (or FAFSA) is available to all incoming students. File your FAFSA maximize your financial aid package and to determine whether you qualify for state and federal aid. Our Financial Aid department is able to answer any questions you might have about the FAFSA process.
The 2014 FAFSA deadline is May 1. Please use the Data Retrieval Tool provided on the FAFSA website.

The Yellow Ribbon Program
Brevard College is a participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program and welcomes Veterans to the institution. If you qualify for VA benefits, your out-of-pocket costs to attend Brevard are comparable to the costs of a public college or university.

Brevard offers students and/or parents several loan programs according to their eligibility and need. Please read the following and continue to the provided links to complete loan applications.
All loan applications must submitted by July 15.
*A 2013-14 FAFSA must have been submitted in order to borrow Federal Direct Loans. New borrowers will also need to complete the required Entrance Loan Counseling.
*Alternative loans are credit-based loans available to the student. These loans are available to credit-worthy students, but in most instances, the student would need to have a credit-worthy co-signer in order to borrow. Contact the Financial Aid Office for more information
