At Brevard, students have a fairly intense level of support for academic and leadership development. Our professors are sensitive to individual learning styles and are willing to meet students “where they are academically.” However, the ultimate goal is to empower students take ownership of and responsibility for their own learning. To that end, there are standards each student will be expected to meet. If your son or daughter chooses Brevard, he or she will be expected to attend classes, complete the assigned work, and participate in the classroom experience.
Additional academic support is available through our Academic Enrichment Center which provides tutoring for every subject. Tutors are trained to help clarify the subject, but they will not do the work for the student.
We firmly believe that responsibility and accountability are two of the most important lessons our students can learn. And they’re qualities that will benefit them in every aspect of their lives and extend far beyond their years at Brevard. As parents, we hope you will support our efforts on behalf of your child.
