Visiting

If a picture’s worth a thousand words, a visit is worth a million.

To truly get a sense of this wonderful place, and to confirm your college choice decision, you must visit the campus.  You can do this by attending one of our scheduled Open Campus Days for a more formalized group experience, or by arranging a personal Private Visit for a very individualized experience.

Open Campus Days

Our Open Campus Days give you a chance to meet faculty and staff and get all kinds of information you need to make your college choice. These days are scheduled around special events on campus and in the surrounding community, so they’re a great way to get to know the Town of Brevard as well as the college. (Don’t forget, Brevard is ranked as one of the top 40 best college towns in the US!)

The Open Campus Day schedule begins at 9 a.m. and goes through lunch. The morning will include a guided campus tour, expert advice on financial aid and scholarships, information about Brevard’s academic programs, and a chance to eat in our terrific Residential Restaurant!

Some Open Campus Days include formal Music Audition opportunities, or Athletic try-outs.  For all other dates, you can arrange an audition with the Music or Theatre Departments, or a meeting with the Art Department to review your portfolio.  You do this by contacting the Admission Office to schedule your appointment.  For meeting with Athletic Coaches, you must contact the Coach individually.

Scheduling a Private Visit

The Admission Office will be glad to schedule a personalized visit tailored to your particular interests. The best time to visit is during the week when classes are in session. That way you can sit in on a class, meet current students and faculty, and really get a feel for what our campus is like. In addition to a campus tour, your visit can include:

  • Sitting in on a class

  • Meeting with a specific professor

  • A financial aid consultation

  • An Admission interview

  • Lunch in the cafeteria (on us)

  • Meeting with a specific Coach

To schedule a private visit we need least a two-day notice. Visits begin no earlier than 9:30 a.m. or later than 3:00 p.m. And you should plan on spending two to three hours with us. Once we receive your request, we will send you a confirmation letter, along with the details of your schedule, a campus map, and information about hotels in the area.

Our students tell us the campus visit was the most important aspect of their college search.
