Dear Alumnus,

Much of the new student preparation happens during Summer Orientation. Held over two weekends in June and July, students and their families travel to Brevard to get a glimpse of college life. Students leave with a schedule of classes, an idea of what college will be like, and usually some new friends. This year our orientations, one of which was just held this past Saturday, have been wonderful. We’ve hosted nearly 200 new students and their families and are expecting a total of 250 new students and transfers to begin classes in the fall.

Our new students are working hard to be prepared, and sometimes the greatest hurdle to overcome is finding a way to pay for a college education. The current economic crisis isn’t making this any easier for students today. Brevard College has a long history of serving needy students with academic potential and that isn’t changing. But we need your help to make it happen

Please consider making a gift today to the Loyalty Scholarship Fund. Every dollar will go to support institutional scholarships which help bridge the gap between what families can afford and borrow and the true cost of an education.

Every dollar helps and every dollar makes a difference. Help one of these 250 new students prepare for Brevard College and reach their full potential.

With sincere gratitude,
