Tornados Finish 15th at Eye Opener Invitational
 
Spartanburg, S.C. – The Brevard College men’s cross country team opened up their 2007 season at the Eye Opener Cross Country meet hosted by USC Upstate on Saturday in Spartanburg, S.C.
 
The men’s team finished 15th on the day, as a number of individuals turned in some strong performances.
 
Harrison Vicini led the Tornados with a 68th place finish, turning in a time of 30:39. 
 
Right on his heels was Justin Holstein who finished with a time of 30:48, good enough for 70th place.
 
Freshman Tiffen Tapia finished with a time of 33:51, while sophomore Zach Hazen turned in a time of 35:57.
 
Junior Brandon Hopkins finished with a time of 36:17 for the meet.
 
The men’s team will be back in action next Saturday, September 15, when they will compete in the Western Carolina Invitational at Cullowhee, N.C.
