BC Football Adds Scott Brumett To Coaching Staff
Brevard, N.C. – The Brevard College athletics department along with head football coach Paul Hamilton are proud to announce the addition of Scott Brumett to the Brevard College football coaching staff.
Brumett, who played under Coach Hamilton at East Tennessee State University, will be the Defensive Coordinator at Brevard College.
Coach Brumett comes to Brevard College by way of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he was the Defensive Assistant Coach and worked directly with the outside linebackers and the punt return units.
In his one year at UT-Chattanooga, Brumett had two players, Joseph Thornton and Steven Millis, who were both in the top-10 in the Southern Conference in Tackles for Loss, with Thornton first in the conference and 13th in the nation overall.
Prior to coaching at UT-Chattanooga, Brumett was a three-year starter at outside linebacker for Coach Hamilton at East Tennessee State from 2000 to 2003. In 2002 he led the team in tackles and was second on the team in tackles in 2003.
With ETSU dropping its football program after the 2003 season, Brumett transferred to the University of North Carolina where he started at tight end in 2004.
