Men's Soccer

As provisional members of the South Atlantic Conference, the Tornados will enter the 2007 season with a full SAC schedule in place.  The men's soccer team will be one of Brevard's first athletic programs to face the strong SAC competition, facing the likes of Tusculum, Carson-Newman, Catawba, Wingate, Mars Hill, Newberry, Lincoln Memorial and Lenoir-Rhyne.

The Tornados all full of new faces this season, as first year head coach Juan Mascaro has brought in a number of new players to work with some key returners in order to improve on last year’s win total. Senior’s Trevor Redpath, Owen Carson, and Ryan Mahaney along with junior’s Kyle Hamilton and Fernando Sandoal will look to lead this young yet talented team to the next level as they continue the transition to NCAA Division II.

Look for sophomore Chris Maness, Ian Townson, Kevin Oates and Douglas Neill to all be asked to step up this season, as all should see plenty of minutes throughout the Tornados 2007 campaign.

Newcomers Howard Malcom, Miro Mustonen, Alex VonSchulze, Kyle Stanforth, Kenneth Bryan III, Joseph Nelson, Robert Wool and Trevor Wolford will all be asked to mature quickly and will compete for immediate playing time this season.
