Brevard, N.C. – The Brevard College men’s and women’s teams wrapped up their second annual BC Mountain Invitational tournament on Sunday, September 9, 2007, as they hosted the finals on the campus of Brevard College.

 

In the finals of the men’s doubles A draw, Brevard College’s duo of sophomore Andrew Thompson and freshman Cole Altizer gave it all they had against a team from Mars Hill, but ultimately fell in what was a very close match 8-5.

 

“I am very happy with our overall performance over the weekend,” commented head coach Paul Thomson. “We are steadily improving. That is really all that we are looking for at this time of year.”

 

The Tornados men’s tennis team will continue their 2007 fall season this Saturday, September 15, when they will play host to South Atlantic Conference member Lincoln Memorial University at 2 p.m.
