Day Two Results of BC Mountain Invitational
 
Brevard, N.C. – The Brevard College men’s tennis team battled hard on the second day of the Second Annual Brevard College Mountain Invitational on Saturday, yet were unable to advance in a number of matches.
 
In doubles play, Brevard College’s teams fell at both the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles spots. BC fell to UNCA 8-3 at the No. 1 spot, while Mars Hill College dropped BC’s tandem 8-1 at the No. 2 position.
 
In singles action, newcomer Cole Altizer fell to UNCA’s Correa in straight sets 6-3, 6-2. Andrew Thompson was defeated by UNCA’s Begg, 6-1, 6-1, while Sam Johnston was dropped by Carson-Newman’s Acker, 6-2, 6-1.
 
BC senior Justin Craig fell in both of his matches on the day, as he was blanked by UNCA’s Thuell, 6-0, 6-0, and then lost to Carson-Newman’s Borthic 6-3, 6-0.
 
The final day of tournament play will be tomorrow, Sunday, September 9, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
