Due West, S.C. – Junior Alycia Andrade led the Brevard College women’s cross country team to a 13th-place finish at the Erskine Invitational on Thursday afternoon.

 

The Tornados finished 13th out of 16 teams in the event.

 

Andrade turned in a great performance, finishing with a time of 21:40:00, which was good enough for an 11th-place finish.

 

Sophomores Hannah Beck and Meghan Grimes were the next two Tornados to cross the finish line, as Beck finished with a time of 26:16:00, while Grimes crossed the line at 26:28:00. Beck took 64th overall, while Grimes finished at 68th-place.

 

Also participating for the Tornados was junior Kristen Zerressen, who finished with a time of 31:30:00 and senior Lindsay Sherrill who crossed at 34:43:00.

 

The women’s cross country team will next be in action on Saturday, October 20, when they will travel to Salisbury, N.C. to compete in the South Atlantic Conference Championship meet hosted by Catawba College.
