Spartanburg, S.C. – The Brevard College women’s cross country team opened up their 2007 season at the Eye Opener Cross Country meet hosted by USC Upstate on Saturday in Spartanburg, S.C.

 

The women’s team finished 21^st on the day, as a number of individuals turned in some strong performances.

 

Junior Alycia Andrade led the Lady Tornados with a time of 21:31, while Hannah Beck crossed the line with a time of 24:44.

 

Sophomore Meghan Grimes had a time of 26:49, and was closely followed by fellow classmate Kristen Zerressen (28:45) and senior Lindsay Sherrill (33:41).

 

The women’s team will be back in action next Saturday, September 15, when they will compete in the Western Carolina Invitational at Cullowhee, N.C.
