Tornados Shutout in Women’s Soccer Action
Montreat, N.C. – The Brevard College women’s soccer team was on the road on Friday afternoon, as they traveled to Montreat, N.C. to square off with the Cavaliers of Montreat College in non-conference action.
Coming off a 1-0 win over Warren Wilson on Tuesday, it would be the Tornados that couldn’t get on the board on Thursday, as they fell to the high powered offense of the Cavaliers, 3-0.
The Cavaliers came into today’s game having scored 21 goals in their four games, an average of over five goals a game. Montreat had scored seven goals in all three of their previous wins.
The Tornados played well as a team, but were unable to get the ball into the net. It is the first time that BC has been shutout this season.
With the loss the Tornados fall to 2-2 on the season, while the Cavaliers improved to 4-1.
Coach Stojetz and her women’s soccer team will be back in action on Saturday, September 8, when they open up their South Atlantic Conference play on the road against Lenoir-Rhyne. The match is slated to begin at 11:00 am.
