Columbia, S.C. – The Brevard College women’s soccer team was looking to continue its momentum from Saturday afternoon’s season opening victory over Lees-McRae on Monday afternoon as they faced off with Columbia College of Columbia, S.C.

 

The Tornados fought hard but came up just short, falling in their first road test of the season, 4-2.

 

With the loss the Tornados move to 1-1 on the season, while the win pushes Columbia to 1-1 as well.

 

BC scored two goals for the match with one goal coming in each half. 

 

Sophomore Chelsea Shew scored the first Tornado goal, while freshman newcomer Nikki Peacock scored the second goal of the game.

 

The women's soccer team returns to action this Friday, August 31, when they will host Palm Beach Atlantic University.  The match is slated to begin at 3 p.m. on the campus of Brevard College.
