Tornados Beat North Greenville, 1-0
Tigerville, S.C. – The Brevard College women’s soccer team got back on the winning track on Tuesday afternoon, as they defeated the North Greenville Crusaders 1-0 in Tigerville, S.C.
The Tornados ended both their losing and scoreless streak at two games with the 1-0 win on Tuesday afternoon.
Both teams played a hard fought and evenly played match as both teams were unable to score in the regular game time, causing the 0-0 game to go into overtime.
In the first overtime period, BC's Cherie Haseltine scored the goal off an assist from Kelly Harris and a secondary assist from Ashley Fincher, ending the game with her game winning goal in the 92nd minute, propelling the Tornados to the 1-0 victory.
With the win the Tornados improve to 3-3 on the season.
The Tornados head back down to South Carolina on Thursday, September 13, to take on Southern Wesleyan University in Central, S.C. The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
