Brenda Skeffington
Head Volleyball Coach

Brenda Skeffington begins her 8th season at Brevard College and has outstanding success during her tenure of 24 years of being a Head Volleyball Coach at the collegiate level with 539 career wins and 463 losses before this season started. Over the past seven years, she has taken the Tornados from eighth place in the conference to 1st place in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. She will look to continue the improvment of the entire volleyball program as the Tornados now transition from NAIA to NCAA Division II.

Skeffington is optimistic about the upcoming 2007 season. I am looking forward to continuing a winning tradition at Brevard. I define winning as "Competing at one's peak performance physically, mentally, and spiritually."

Prior to taking over at Brevard, Skeffington coached at The College of Wooster, Robert Morris College (Division I), and St. John Fisher College, respectively. In addition to coaching college, Skeffington has been active Directed Volleyball Camps at Brevard College, Wooster, Fisher; and at several local camps including: Brevard High School, East Henderson High School, Girl Scouts of Asheville, Pisgah High School, Rosman High School and Shelby High School.

"I have always been active in youth and developmental volleyball programs building long-lasting relationships with the area organizations." Skeffington is CAP II certified as a Coach and continues to direct several volleyball camps and Team Camps over the summer.
