As part of Welcome Week each August, new students join together with faculty and staff volunteers to help with community service projects at approximately 15 sites across the city of Brevard and Transylvania County. This ½ day service event embraces our BC motto of Cognosce ut Prosis - "Learn in Order to Serve". The good will and hard work of Move-A-Mountain Day contributes to the goal of building an ethic of service and lifelong learning for our BC community. This important tradition gives new students an opportunity to build relationships with fellow students, faculty, staff and community members.
Move-A-Mountain Day 2012 celebrated the 16th year of the project! We had over 260 students, faculty, and staff participate and serve for a total of 80 hours! The following is a list of some of our Community Partners:
