NC-ACTS! (North Carolina-Activating Citizenship Through Service) is an AmeriCorps national service program hosted by North Carolina Campus Compact. NC Campus Compact is a sub-grantee of the UCAN Serve program sponsored by Colorado Campus Compact that receives direct funding from the Corporation for National and Community Service. 

Brevard College has 7 NC-ACTS! Fellows for the 2010-2011 school year.  Each Fellow has committed to serving 300 hours this year.  Upon successful completion of the program, each Fellow will receive an educational award of $1,132 to be applied toward tuition or qualified student loans.

COMPLETED!	Hannah Crain Rise and Shine Freedom School and Brevard Middle School "The highlight this month was seeing the kids become more responsible with their homework and becoming more confident in their homework."
COMPLETED!	Laura Evans Free Rein A highlight has been... "wearing my Free Rein shirt around in the community and people asking me about it or having wonderful things to say about it!"
	Claire Gooley "Challenge Day with Boys & Girls Club was amazing.  I loved haering the kids create an environmental challenge for the community."
COMPLETED!	Josh Mower Rise and Shine Freedom School and Bread of Life "Making good food for anyone in need in the community brings good feelings."
COMPLETED!	Sarah Mundhenke Rise and Shine Freedom School "Being able to see the students interact with the handicap students was really cool because the middle school students have a low amount of experience with handicap people their age or at any age even."
	Chris Shore Bread of Life "For the Dance Marathon we raised money, canned food, and clothes to go towards local non-profits."
	Hunter Tuttle Muddy Sneakers "Multicultural film and the child soldier films were life changing."
