Beam Hall is a co-ed building where the majority of first-year students are housed. Students live in suite-style rooms adjoined by a bathroom.

Lena Sue Beam Residence Hall, built in 1966, was named after the wife of Trustee C. Grier Beam. The hall was renovated in 2005.
Jones Hall houses men and women in suite style rooms adjoined by a bathroom. West Jones features air conditioning and carpet.
West Jones was built in 1953 with East Jones being added in 1956. The colonial style porch was added in 1967 and renovations occured in 2002. Jones Hall was named for Annabel Jones, wife of Edwin L. Jones. The Jones Family (Jones Construction of Charlotte) have been benefactors of the college and members of the family have served on the Board of Trustees.
Designed to bring together groups of 12-15 students in apartment style living, the Villages can house over 200 upper-class men and women. North Village has a kitchen in each unit.
Green Hall provides housing for Freshman male students. Green Hall is setup with community bathrooms and showers and each room has its own sink and two closets.
Construction started on Green Hall in May 1956 and it was opened the following autumn.
