Beam Hall

Beam Hall is a co-ed building where the majority of first-year students are housed. Students live in suite-style rooms adjoined by a bathroom. Each room has a microwave refrigerator unit.

Beam Residence Hall

Lena Sue Beam Residence Hall, built in 1966, was named after the wife of Trustee C. Grier Beam. The hall was renovated in 2005.

Jones Hall

Jones Hall houses men and women in suite style rooms adjoined by a bathroom. All rooms have microwave refrigerator units. West Jones features air conditioning and carpet and is priority housing for sophomores. East Jones houses first-year students including the Institute for Women in Leadership (IWIL).

West Jones was built in 1953 with East Jones being added in 1956. The colonial style porch was added in 1967 and renovations occured in 2002. Jones Hall was named for Annabel Jones, wife of Edwin L. Jones. The Jones Family (Jones Construction of Charlotte) have been benefactors of the college and members of the family have served on the Board of Trustees.

The Village

Designed to bring together groups of 12-15 students in apartment style living, the Villages can house over 200 upper-class men and women. South Village rooms have microwave refrigerator units in each room while North Village has a kitchen in each unit.

North Village was built in 1998 and South Village in 2000.

Green Hall

Green Hall provides housing for men and women with a priority given to single rooms for upper-class students. Green Hall is setup with community bathrooms and showers and each room has its own sink, two closets and a microwave refrigerator unit. Green Hall is the only residence hall on campus where alcohol consumption is permitted.

Construction started on Green Hall in May 1956 and it was opened the following autumn.
