 Policy Regarding Health Insurance

Health insurance coverage is mandatory for all full-time students.   You may waive coverage with the UnitedHealthcare student plan IF you already have health insurance that meets all of the College’s plan requirements and is approved by the College.  You will need to provide information about your current coverage via the “Confirm or Waive” link above. If you do not waive coverage you will be automatically enrolled and responsible for the premium payment which will appear on your student bill. If you know you will not be waiving and would like to confirm early enrollment you may do so on the “Confirm or Waive” link above. UnitedHealthcare coverage is also available to part-time students but requires an enrollment process and direct payment to them.

Important: If you do not waive the insurance by September 15th, 2011 you will be automatically enrolled and responsible for the premium payment which will appear on your student billof $560 for the entire 2011-2012 academic year (August 1, 2011 – July 31, 2012) OR $317 (for the spring semester through July 31, 2012.) Once you are enrolled there are no cancellations or refunds.

  • The College reserves the right to audit all waivers in order to ensure compliance with the College insurance requirements. Please be sure to have a copy of your insurance policy as you may be asked to provide this documentation.
  • Every eligible student must complete the enrollment/waiver process each year to ensure uninterrupted service at the preferred level of coverage.
  • Dependents are not automatically enrolled in coverage. You must request that they be added to the policy each year.
*Students approved to register as a student after the insurance enrollment deadline must submit an insurance enrollment/waiver application at the time of registration. Failure to do so will result in automatic enrollment into coverage.
