Family Weekend

BC’s Family Weekend 2009
We invite you to re-unite with your student during Family Weekend! Family Weekend offers you an opportunity to sit in on classes, to meet with faculty and/or advisors, and, of course, to spend time with your student. Events on campus include hikes, athletic games, and much more. You may also want to take time to enjoy our quaint downtown area of Brevard and the beautiful Pisgah Forest.

Registration is required if you would like to visit a class and/or meet with a particular faculty member or advisor. You must also register to receive a free all-sports weekend-pass. Registration is now closed.  Please contact Judy Jones at (828) 884-8312.

A very special part of Family Weekend is our “Senior Pinning,” which will be held Friday, September 18 at 6:00 p.m.  Seniors will be honored and presented with a special pin by a significant person of their choice.  Seniors are invited to dinner at no cost and may invite up to three guests at $22 per person.  Pre-registration is required no later than Monday, September 14th. This is an invitation only event. Formal invitations are sent directly to the student and to the family members. If you have any questions about participation in this special occasion, please contact Rebecca Gill in the Office of Institutional Development at 828.884.8233.
Due to inclement weather the banquet will be held indoors at the Boshamer Gym.

Check-in at the Academic Quad on Friday, September 18, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. or on Saturday, September 19, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. You will want to make your housing arrangements right away as fall is our busiest season here in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.
