Distinguished Alumni, Distinguished Young Alumni, and Distinguished Faculty/ Staff Awards

These awards are given to a select and noteworthy group of Brevard College alumni and faculty/ staff who make a significant difference in their community, profession, and the world. Members of the Gallery of Distinguished Alumni/Faculty bring honor and respect to Brevard College by living out its motto, “Learn in Order to Serve.”

We would like to hear from you. If you know someone who would qualify for one of the following awards, please make a nomination. Nominations will be considered by the Awards and Recognition Committee of the Alumni Board, which will decide on the final award recipients. 

Attributes for each award:

Distinguished Alumni - Recipients must have graduated 10 years or more from Brevard College with an undergraduate degree or graduate degree. If the graduate receives both degrees from Brevard College, the 10 years will begin after they receive their first degree.

Distinguished Young Alumni - Recipients must be 40 years or younger and must have graduated in the last 10 years.

Distinguished Faculty/ Staff - Recipients must be past faculty/ staff members who served at Brevard College for at least four years and who have been away from the College for at least one year.

The Hall of Fame is held in reserve as Brevard College’s highest athletic recognition. It seeks to honor alumni and friends of the College who have demonstrated exceptional personal achievement, distinctive contributions to the advancement of athletics and heartfelt dedication to Brevard College. To be nominated to the Athletic Hall of Fame the nominee is required to have graduated from Brevard College 10 or more years ago.
