ABOUT THE LIBRARY
The James A. Jones Library serves as the main library for the educational programs of Brevard College. Dedicated in 1967, the library is named for James Addison Jones, founder of the J. A. Jones Construction Company in Charlotte, and a benefactor of the college.

Over 59,000 books, 100,000 e-books, and 4,400 audio-visual materials, including compact discs, videos, and DVDs are available in the collection and indexed in an online catalog. The library subscribes to over 200 periodicals, and provides access to thousands of full-text articles through online database providers, including NC LIVE, the Appalachian College Association, the Carolina Consortium, and SOLINET. 

ABOUT THE CATALOG
The library's holdings are cataloged using the Dewey decimal classification system and Library of  Congress Subject Headings, and indexed in the Appalachian College Association's shared integrated library automation system. Library holdings of Brevard College and other private colleges in North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, and West Virginia comprise the Appalachian College Association's shared online library catalog. It provides a variety of searching options for books, electronic resources, and A-V materials, including author, title, subject , numeric, and item type.
