Brevard College will host a Volunteer Fair to connect students, faculty and staff with area nonprofits on Monday, September 9 in the College’s Betty Neale Academic Quad.
The Volunteer Fair, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., is free and also open to community members who are interested in volunteering.
BC has more than 700 students on campus this fall, so now is an ideal time for agencies and nonprofit organizations to recruit volunteers from the College.
“We’re expecting nonprofit groups from Brevard and Asheville,” shared BC Director of Community and Volunteer Services Gabrielle Mellendorf. “We want our students and campus community to be aware of opportunities to help out in the community.”
Last year, members of the college community volunteered 7,000 service hours to agencies and non-profits in the area.
