Applying is the first step to deciding if a school is the right fit for you! The admissions application also doubles as an application for Merit Scholarships! The application is free. You can also apply test-optional.

First-Year Applicants

Congratulations on your decision to apply for admission!

Here's what we need from you:

An application for admission.
A copy your high school transcript. You may email an unofficial copy to admissions@brevard.edu
A copy of your SAT or ACT score. You may email an unofficial copy to admissions@brevard.edu or you can apply test optional!

Test Optional Admission

You can choose test optional admission, which means the Admissions Office will not require your SAT or ACT score when making an admissions decision.

Test Optional Admissions is for students who have decided that their test scores are not a true representation of their academic potential.

Transfer Applicants

Transfer applications submit the following:

A completed application for admission.
College transcripts from all institutions attended. You can send unofficial copies to admissions@brevard.edu.
Your final high school transcript. You can email a copy to the Admissions Office. You'll need to submit a final copy with graduation date before you register for classes.

Transferring from a North Carolina Community College?

The North Carolina Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA) is a statewide agreement governing the transfer of credits between North Carolina community colleges and Brevard College. The CAA provides certain assurances to the transferring student:

Assures admission to Brevard College
Enables North Carolina community college graduates of two-year Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degree programs who are admitted to constituent institutions of the university of North Carolina to transfer with junior status.

International Applicants

All first-year, international applications submit:

A completed application for admission. There's no application fee.
Official high school transcript translated into English and evaluated by a transcript evaluation service
SAT or ACT scores, if you choose to not apply Test Optional
TOEFL, IELTS , or Duolingo scores
Interview

You may submit the above documents to the Admissions Office at admissions@brevard.edu.

OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT

You must have your transcripts translated into English and evaluated by a transcript evaluation service. The Admissions Office recommends one of the organizations below:

This process requires a fee and normally takes 10 business days.

If you are currently in progress with your academic work, please submit an official and sealed copy of your transcript with the transcript evaluation that includes all completed coursework. You must submit these documents prior to your enrollment at Brevard College.

TEST SCORES

You may submit (or not submit) your SAT or ACT scores. These scores can determine your admission to Brevard College and can also determine your English proficiency.

You may apply for admission to Brevard without submitting SAT or ACT scores, if you apply Test Optional Admission.

If you apply Test Optional admission, you must submit your TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo score. The minimum TOEFL score for admissions is 75 (internet based test). The minimum IELTS for admission is 6. The minimum Duolingo score is 100.

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER STUDENTS

International Transfer Students follow Transfer admissions policies and procedures.

The International Student Coordinator may also require an interview.

You are also required to follow the Visa process below.

INTERVIEW

Non-native English speakers complete an interview with the International Students Admissions Coordinator. The interview, typically held over Skype or Zoom, further evaluates English proficiency.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS

The International Student Admissions Counselor will evaluate your academic transcript, test score (or test optional responses), and award you a Merit Scholarship. These awards range from $10,000 to $11,000 per year and are renewable for 4-years.

Early applicants may also be eligible for Scholarship Competition awards, which requires an interview and payment of the enrollment fee.

We're happy to schedule a Zoom interview with you, if you are unable to travel to campus for a Scholarship Competition.

Tuition, Room, Board, and Fees

VISA PROCESS

If you have received an offer of admission and have paid the enrollment fee, submit an original bank statement or letter from the bank issued within the last 6 months.

The bank statement must reflect a balance that is equal to tuition, room, board, and fees less scholarships and grants awarded.

You may email this document to admissions@brevard.edu. This document must come from the bank or a bank official.

Brevard College will use this information to process your I-20, which is needed to obtain your F-1 student visa.

Graduate School Applicants

Brevard College offers three graduate programs in Business Administration (M.B.A.), Health and Human Performance, and Public Safety Management.

There's no GRE, GMAT, or test requirement. We'll notify you of your acceptance to Graduate School at Brevard College upon completion of your graduate school admissions file.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Completed application for admission.
Completion of a B.A. or B.S. degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
1. For applicants to the Health and Human Performance program, undergraduate courses in Human Anatomy and Physiology, Exercise Physiology, and Biomechanics are required.
Minimum undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 2.5.

In some cases, the Admissions Office can offer conditional admission to students who fall below this criteria. Students conditionally admitted must maintain a 2.5 GPA in their first two semesters of graduate study.

TUITION AND FEES (GRADUATE PROGRAM)

Dual Enrollment Applicants

Dual Enrollment at Brevard College provides local high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school.

Classes are only $100 each.

Please submit the following documents:

A completed application for admission
A high school transcript. You may email an unofficial transcript to admissions@brevard.edu
You may apply Test-Optional or submit your SAT or ACT Scores. You may email your scores to admissions@brevard.edu.
A transcript from other colleges or universities that you've attended.

The Admissions Office will review your completed admissions file and notify you if you're accepted for admission as a Dual Enrollment student.

Once you receive an offer of admission, please schedule and attend a campus visit.

You'll register for classes in the summer (for the fall semester) and in December (for the spring semester) after new and returning students register. You're permitted to take two (2) 100-level courses per semester.

What happens next?

When the Admissions Office receives your application for admission, your Admissions Counselor will contact you about your admissions decision and scholarship eligibility.
